United Methodist Men

Meet at 8:00 a.m. the first Sunday of the month, September through June, for breakfast and fellowship. One of the primary purposes is to financially support community and church ministries.

United Methodist Women

This group meets January through May, and August through November. The primary purpose is fellowship and support for United Methodist mission ministries.

Apple Dumplings Project

This group, coordinated by the United Methodist Men, makes and sells apple dumplings from late September until Thanksgiving. Money raised funds community projects

Carnation Days in the Park

The United Methodist Men sponsors this volunteer-staffed booth to sell brownies and iced tea during Alliance's mid-August Carnation Festival. Proceeds benefit community projects.

Community Dinners

Volunteers prepare and serve a free spaghetti dinner the first Tuesday of the month at Christ United Methodist Church in downtown Alliance. The dinners are sponsored by the United Methodist Men.

Hearts and Hands Quilters

Volunteers create and distribute handmade quilts to offer comfort and support to those experiencing illness, or to celebrate events such as baptisms, retirements from church service, etc.

Prayer Ministries

Union Avenue UMC teaches and encourages an active prayer life as an essential discipline in one's faith journey. Prayer ministries are offered in worship, small group gatherings, the prayer chain, informal conversations with one another, and private pastoral care appointments
