3rd ANNUAL ALLIANCE YWCA UNITY WALK – TODAY
‘Unity begins with YOU. If not YOU, then WHO?’
Sponsored by Union Avenue United Methodist Church*, the walk will be at 1 p.m. Aug. 13 starting at the YWCA at 239 E. Market St. *funds from part of our Easter offering
The Unity Walk began in 2021 as the YWCA of Alliance responded to threats of racially charged threats and vandalism by sponsoring a peaceful walk around the Carnation City’s downtown.
In 2022 the walk became the concluding event in the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival.
This year, the event is expanding. Following will be a Family Fun Day at the YWCA, featuring a free lunch, bounce house and music.
